Japanese Linen Attic Windows Wall Hanging Quilt

125.00

This Japanese Linen Attic Windows wall hanging was stitched with a lot of love. I took tiny pieces of black and beige linens I purchased on a trip to Tokyo, inserted pops of bright colored cottons, and hand stitched the entire interior section in order to get all those angles just right.

The interior section is framed with a pop of bright teal color, then a larger frame of linen dragonflies. Dragonflies are meant to be good luck. The dragonfly fabric is continued onto the back of the wall quilt. The entire interior is long arm quilted in a free form feather design in copper thread. The outer border is quilted with arches and feathered wreaths in the same copper thread. I used a wool batting inside for lightness and loft. I also attached a hanging sleeve on the back. A small curtain rod or dowel is all you need to hang this quilt.

There is a lot of detail in this small quilt. Would be a perfect statement for your entryway, your living room or even your bedroom.
Made in my smoke free / pet free studio.
